The Problem
Adekunle scored one of the highest JAMB scores in Osun State with an impressive 312 points, earning him admission to study Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). However, his single mother, a petty trader, could not afford the tuition fees.
"I had worked so hard for those results. When the admission letter came, I was overjoyed. But when I saw the school fees breakdown, I knew my mother couldn't afford it. I thought my dream was over before it even started," Adekunle shares.
Facing the reality of dropping out before even starting, Adekunle's future hung in the balance.

Looking Ahead
Adekunle is on track to graduate in Q3 2026 with a First Class degree in Computer Engineering. He has already received internship offers from two tech companies in Lagos and plans to pursue a career in software development.
"My goal is to work in tech for a few years, gain experience, and then return to Osun State to start a tech training center for young people. I want to create opportunities for others the way OOSEEF created one for me," he says.
